This bass truly changed my life, and the way I write music. Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick basically invented this instrument way back in 1978. Doug Pinnick of King`s X really did some great things with the 12 string in the 80`s and 90`s, and still does today.

I prefer to play it fingerstyle, with the low E string tuned to D. It`s sometimes difficult to EQ the 12 bass in the studio, but if you take your time, with a knowledgeable engineer, the results will astound you.

I run it through a 100 watt Marshall, or when I`m recording at Visionary, a Bogner Ecstacy.
