Stanley was anothey fretless bass pioneer. I used to stare at the inside cover of the "Frampton Comes Alive" LP, with Stanley and his black and white fretless P bass. Stanley Sheldon's approach was a big influence on me.

Check out his short solo in "Doobie Wah", and his playing at the end of "Do You Feel Like We Do" (during the Guitar solo). You just don't hear playing like this in today's music. Very Motown/Jamerson oriented...
